We have been talking about this album for the best part of a year and part of us wondered if it was ever going to come!

The first we heard of a new album was back in 2014 when ‘Simple Love’ hit Soundcloud, we were told an album was coming but with no official release dates. Later that year we were hit with the disco throw back, ‘Rhythm of Auld’ and finally Gilles Peterson provided us with a World Exclusive of ‘Knockin Boots’ on BBC Radio 6 Music.

Just last week Julio Bashmore uploaded the single, ‘Holding On’ feat Sam Dew to his Soundcloud page followed with the announcement that the album ‘Knockin Boots’ will be here on July 10th 2015. You can actually pre order now on iTunes and receive a few singles early.

From what we have already heard, the album is heavily soul & disco influenced, a long way from his previous hits with ‘Battle For Middle You’ & ‘Au Seve’. Perhaps spending more time in London and away from the big booming bass reputation of Bristol has had an impact on this outstanding producers creativity. Let’s not forget he was also the talent behind Jessie Wares hit ‘Runnin’.
